As UCD Smurfit Students we're blessed with a host of great eating hot-spots at our doorstep. Here are some of our favourites:
Roasted Notes
Right at the heart of our campus is Roasted Notes, an Irish company with a passion for great coffee sourced directly from Brazil and roasted with a Micro Roaster here in Ireland. Serving up amazing coffee, top-class toasties and always friendly staff you can’t go wrong with Roasted Notes.
Shaka Poke
Anywhere in Blackrock Market is guaranteed food perfection, but for something that feels more California than Carysfort try Shaka Poke! Poke bowls are delicious and incredibly healthy so you can get that brain food for all that studying.
The Wooden Spoon
Great for those on a budget this local favourite has a student deal for a sandwich and a drink for €5. With high quality ingredients and low prices, this place is worth the queue.
The Mellow Fig
The gorgeous lime green of this cafe always catches the eye, and the food is as attractive. Janine Breslin and Vivienne Johnston opened the Mellow Fig in November 2011. They pride ourselves on providing freshly made seasonal dishes using local ingredients, all served with a smile.
Korean Burrito
Another staple of the blackrock market, Korean Burrito offers Korean-style bbq meats with Mexican fillings. This makes for a delicious and very unique lunch that will fill you up all day.
